Zouk is the fastest growing partner dance in the country! Gain confidence in your body and gain confidence in your body movements in this safe space to connect with other people. Make friends and bond with the other students in your course. Improve social dancing to ANY music--even regular club kine. This course will cover body awareness, how to hold your partner, leading and following, zouk rhythm, and a fundamental vocabulary of zouk movements. Get ready to participate in Honolulu Zouk socials and dance parties!

Time & Place

+6 Week Commitment

+ Nov 11-Dec 16, 2018 (11/11, 11/18, 11/25, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16)

+Once a week, Sundays 6:00-7:00 p.m.

+All classes taught by Kimberly Loo, Mic Lee, or Honolulu Zouk guest instructors

+Polearity Studio, 111 N King St 2B, Honolulu Hawaii

+Parking located behind the building, entrance at 120 N Nimitz Hwy

+Please Read Updates and respond when necessary

Expectations

+No partner and no experience necessary

+No street shoes on the studio floor. Please bring socks, bring a separate pair of shoes only worn indoors, or go barefoot. Dance shoes such as ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or latin dance heels are also acceptable.

+After getting a firm grasp of material in this course, you will be ready for Rio Zouk 102

+Students will cheerfully follow our Honolulu Zouk Community Guidelines

Attendance

+Please notify Kimberly and Mic when you’ll be missing a class. A missed class gives you a $15 credit toward private lessons to make up what you missed. (Regular Price Privates: Kimberly $75, Mic $75, Together $100)
